The story of Tatti teaches us how a small village can be reborn thanks to the strength of the community. After the mining tragedy of 1954 and years of abandonment, director Ruedi Gerber brought life and vision back, transforming the village into a laboratory of agriculture and collaboration.
In the film, “Tatti, village of dreamers”, the director who chose Tatti as his home weaves his vision with the stories of the last farmers – Marco and Massimo – and shows how the community is regenerating thanks to the recovery of abandoned lands and a new biodynamic agricultural life.
A precious example also for Montalcinello: when passionate people come together, villages bloom again. It's not about going around these wounded villages to deliver the final blow with lowball offers or looking for a house for 1 euro. It's not about coming here as real estate agents or speculators, playing Monopoly with houses that will remain as empty as your soul.
Come here to dream, to roar, to be reborn together with the destiny of these agricultural villages (and we also have our Marco). Grit!
Thanks to those who have come here from those parts in recent days to support us. Tatti, here in Montalcinello we love you.
